OmniConnect

OmniConnect tool delivered by Engineering offers a considerable amount of features to enrich 360° videos with different types of hotspots such as shapes, 2D video, audio, html pages, multiline text, images and metadata.

The OmniConnect tool proposes a user-friendly web interface compliant with any browser supporting the HTML5 and WebGL standards.

The 360° video annotation process interacts with the data layer where all properties are stored (e.g. for the text: position, colour, shape, view options as “center of FOV”, “fixed on the screen”, etc.) and the associated events (e.g. on tap: open a new Video 2D) for each hotspot.

Our data architecture keeps annotation data separate from the actual 360 video file. With this choice, the configurations created by the editors at design time never modify the original 360° source video, hence such videos will stay available for further configurations (one video could be enhanced by many independent configurations - i.e.: set of hotspots, metadata and mentor), and this is a relevant advantage in postprocessing especially in certain market segments
